Question hi there, I've got a MK4 golf gti 1.8 1999 5 door and the driver side and the right side back door wont close, a mechanic had a look at the doors and told me the mechanisisms in the doors weren't broken but just needed lubrication, which made them close for a week or so but now they wont close again, any other suggestions what might be wrong? cheers.
Answer Joe,
It is possible the door hinges or the door mounting location is bent, which can happen if the wind caught the door or it was opened too far for any reason. Another possibility is if the car took a bump too hard and the frame is slightly bent.
