Question I recently had my car serviced for an overheating issue (coolant was filled to high, that problem has been fixed). One of the signs that it was overheating was the outside thermometer was much higher than it should be. Now when stop at a traffic light for a few minutes the thermometer starts to creep up in temp. Do I have a problem with the cooling system, a broken outside thermometer, or am I just being paranoid?
Answer Yes you most likely have a problem with the cooling system. In traffic or at a stop the cooling fans come on. If they do not then check the fuse the green one on the battery cover flip down pocket. If thats blown or melted the fuse or the fuse block needs to be replaced. If its good then the fans may be bad. Check my already answered questions. Good luck.
