Question John
I have a 53 reg 1.8 Golf GTI, a 'warning' light has come on telling me to have the car serviced even though it does not require it yet! Is there a way i can clear this fault code light without taking it in to the main dealer?

Answer I was wondering what 53 reg means. My self and six other techs at the dealer don't know. But the 1.8 liter engine didn't come with a service light for regular oil changes. The service request in the dash panel screen is to inform you that a another problem is present. It may be a oil pressure issue. Good luck.
