Question I left my Jetta sit a bit too long (3 months)and had a dead battery. We jumped it but it won't turn over, It sounds as if it will but doesn't. Is there a reset button for when the car loses electric functions? Sticky injectors? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Answer There is no reset button. When jump starting the vehicle does the engine crank or just make a clicking noise? If the vehicle cranks then its not a battery problem. If the vehicle just makes a clicking noise when jump starting then the other vehicles battery may be bad or low of charge.The battery thats in the vehicle may have a internal problem and needs to be replaced and while it is hooked up Jump starting will do nothing.
