I have a 1998 VW Golf, Automatic. I had to have the brake switch replaced just recently because it got stuck in Park. GRRR. Then before I got it back my mechanic told me it kept stalling. Turns out the throttle body needs to be replaced to the tune of $1000. More electrical. The car's in great shape otherwise.
