Expertise
I am a Division I women`s vollegball coach. I have been coaching at the college level for the past eleven years. I am also teaching and coaching at the high school level and I have been doing so for the past sixteen years. In my spare time I;ve coach 11-12 year old girls in the CYO. I am also a certified high school referee for both varsity boys and girls. I have over 250 drills in my drill book and I believe I can be most helpful answering questions about running certain offenses and defenses.

Question
hey steve, i was wondering if their was any other boys club teams around pittsburgh.  I still can not find any on the internet except the one you gave me.  And how do you jump serve?

Answer
Tie,

Sorry, that is the only one I found.  You may e-mail them and ask if they know of any other clubs in the area.

As far as jump serving goes.  It is really hard to explain without seeing your skill level.  The short answer would be.....

Toss the ball out in front of you(and the toss is the most important skill in jump serving).  Approach the ball the same way you approach the net to attack the ball.  Make contact at the height of the balls arc and your jump, snap your wrist hard to get the ball as much top spin as possible.  This is a simplistic explanation.  If you want a more in depth answer it would be best to have a coach look at you and give you feedback, I believe that would be much more helpful than me giving you advice on something I can't see.

Good Luck,
Steve
