The Picture! The picture that you see is my team after winning the 52-team Capitol Hill Classic in February 2008 in Washington DC. We were the only undefeated team in the 15's division. However, they presented our awards to the team that won the SILVER division! haha So the tournament directors had to reorder our medals and our player's MVP trophy, then mail them all to us later!

Subject: Playing in college indoors? or beach?
Question i am a 13 year old girl and i have been playing volleyball since 2nd grade. I am 5'7 and i play for Illinios Heat volleyball club. Right now I am the loberio because we have some girls that are taller than me. I dont know if i want to keep going in indoor volleyball or switch to beach. I did this beach volleyball tournament over the summer and i had a lot of fun. But i know it is harder to go to college and play beach than it is indoor. Any advice??
Answer Good afternoon!
Thank you for visiting www.allexperts.com
My advice: You're too early to decide which to specialize in.....therefore, do both indoor and beach! :)
Why? Every female beach player will tell you they played indoors in middle school, high school and probably even college. (Some males won't say that b/c there was no high school boy's team when they were in school.)
Those women will tell you that playing indoors and even club helped make them better players. I just can't see someone 13 years old stopping playing indoors.......well, unless that kid lives near a beach that has wonderful weather 12 months a year. And since you're in Illinois, that's not you! :)
Other advantages to playing indoors:
a) You'll be a big team of girls. It would be one of the best experiences of your life. Yes, I know, it could also be a horrible experience, but so could marriage.....but you'll do that too! haha
b) You'll play a team game. Many girls LOVE playing "our 6 vs. them," or "our 14 girls vs. them." They think it's cool!
c) If you have a good coach, you'll learn SO much about vball, life, cooperation, etc. You don't learn that stuff from 2-person teams.
Finally, do some college actually give beach volleyball teams? That have coaches? That give scholarships? If so, tell me what colleges they are b/c I want to visit their website and read about it!
I hope that answers your questions. If not, just ask me again!
