About Matthew Huthmacher Expertise I can handle questions regarding functions of the game, tactics for training, and overall fundamentals regarding both the indoor and outdoor game, (6/2 man teams).
Experience I have played volleyball for the past 15 years. I started in the sand down in FL, (2-man), and moved indoors for college where I played for one year at Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne under coach Arnie Ball, who in 2000 scouted for the Men's National Team, and transfered to Park University to complete my collegiate career in 1997-2000. Since then, I have played on and off maintaining my skill sets.

If you've been playing libero, you've already got a good feel for going after balls in defense, and passing them back to start off your offense. Passing from service is really no different. hand placement, shoulders, feet, all of it is the same. when you're passing, your feet, hips, and shoulders should be square to your target upon impact. Shrug your shoulders when you make contact for your pass.
If you're looking to get better at it, practice more. Find some trash cans around your gym and set them up across the front of the net, to represent your setter. Have a partner work on her setting, and you can pass to your targets. You can also grab a ball and a partner and start off close together, about 5 feet, and just pass back and forth for awhile. the closeness will force you work on your control and keep you from "swinging' at the ball.
Work on those skills, and you should be just fine.
