Question
Hello,
I am an active volleyball player who pretty much eats and sleeps the sport. I am doing an essay in my grade 12 English class about the Libero position and I have to prove that it has made a benefit to the game. I could use your positive/negative opinion. I need the experts opinion so I would value your perspective of the newly introduced player. Could you send me any information about strategies and development of players too.  Do you know of any websites that offer this information? Thank you

Answer
I think I have answered this question a few weeks ago.  I will try to capulize my answer here.

I feel the Libero position has helped at the interantional and college level.  Rallies are longer and ball control is better.  I think it is not a benefit for the junior player, unless the libero position is rotated around.  Juniors need to develop their skills, not concentrate on just a few.
