Question
What are some offensive skills?   And what are some defensive skills?

Answer
Samantha,
Could you be more specific with your question? From what I understand from your question, you are asking generally what these skills are. Offensive skills would be first of all serving. After the ball is served now you are doing defensive skills, such as, blocking, and digging. After the ball is dug then you have your offensive skills coming back into effect with the set and the hit or attack. Also, when the other team is serving and you are passing, I consider the passing defense. Once the ball is passed I consider it offense once again. Im sure there are several different philosophies on this. Some would say that passing is the first part of your offense. But the way I see it, is that you are defending a point, unless its rally scoring, so its defense. Please write back if this is not what you are asking.
