Expertise
I am a Division I women`s vollegball coach. I have been coaching at the college level for the past eleven years. I am also teaching and coaching at the high school level and I have been doing so for the past sixteen years. In my spare time I;ve coach 11-12 year old girls in the CYO. I am also a certified high school referee for both varsity boys and girls. I have over 250 drills in my drill book and I believe I can be most helpful answering questions about running certain offenses and defenses.

Question
hi   i am a new official and am going to have to call some schools by nagws rules.  what are the biggest differences? thx

Answer
Hi Debbie,

I use NYC rules (which are a combination of only the rules they like).  I don't know what you do now so it's too hard for me to answer.  Here are some examples.....8 seconds to serve, only one toss, can cross over the center court line, double hit on first contact, let, 30 point rally (1st 4 games) 15 point on last game, 18 subs (let the coach know at 16 (I think).  Those are the ones off the top of my head.  If you have some specific rules in mind I believe I could help more.

Steve
