Question How do I remove & install a 95 Volvo 850 GLT airbag on Sterring wheel & dashboard?
Where is the airbag sensor located?
Answer Leo,
Disconnect the battery. From the rear of the wheel through the holes a torx 30 should loosen the air bag. Remove and unplug. Back the same way. Tighten the screw on the right side first. Remove the glove box you will see a bracket that has some bolts (4) holding the air bag. Remove bolts. Some have a strap that will also need to be removed. Unplug the bag. Then remove the dash pad. There are screws inside the dash air vents by the speedo cluster, on each side panel by the side window vents. Under both speakers there is a screw. The Crash sensor is under the hand brake console.
