Subject: bleeding fuel line

Question
I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER IN MY 98 V70 TURBO DIESEL WHERE/HOW WILL I CLEAR THE AIR AS SHE WONT START.

Answer
Phelim,
Well in the United States we do not have the diesel. So Going back to the days when we did (1980-1986) it went like this. Fill the new fuel filter with diesel fuel and crank over the engine, that was the way to prime the pump. Better still call the dealer where you are and ask their opinion of the bleeding process. I do not even know what kind of diesel engine is used in the cars these days. The manuals I have access to do not show the diesel.
