Volvo/98 v70 evap code

Question
I am getting a evap gross leak code. I did find a tear in the idle control outlet tube and replaced it. I then erased the code with my reader. I am now getting a pending code for a gross leak again. Was my initial fix not related? The code is being presented as pending. What should I do next?

You have to pressurize the tank and check for leaks. I find splits in some of the vapor lines or the fuel pump leaks on top by the wires, the vapor hose on top of the tank, the gas cap seal. Hoses broken at the canister, and sometimes a bad evap valve.
