Car wont start !   I have had 2 "so called" electrical mechanics check it and the last one didn't come back!
Initially the car would lose all power whilst driving, but would restart after 10 mins or so. Then it stopped altogether. I was advise it was the ignition amplifier and replaced this to no avail. I was then advided to replace the distributor and again to no avail. The spark plugs get wet with petrol but there is no spark when testing these. There is power to the coil and ign amp and they are showing correct ampage. any advice gratefully received.

Well things that drive the spark are coil, cap, rotor, wires, power amp, and dist, control unit, wire harness. So I would go over the work that I have done make sure that there is nothing you missed. Timing so far off that the spark will not light. A shop that knows and works on the Volvo's should be more than able to help.
