Question
Hi I am living now in Thailand and have a 1997 Volvo S40 just one key and ready to died
Can I Bypass the immobilizer so I could use a regular key with out a chip ??

Answer
Christian,
There is not a by-pass provision on your car. Now a shop maybe able to remove the immobilizer and the antenna ring so a "normal" kay would work, but I have never been asked to do a job as such. It most times is easier and less expensive to go to the dealer and have a key programmed to the car.
