Question My 1989 Volvo 740 turbo station wagon failed fuel evaporative controls functional on a smog check. is there anything that you can tell me to fux this so it passes smog?

That is the system that has the charcoal canister to store the fuel vapors to be be reburnt. So are hoses to the canister broken? Is the canister broken? Did the gas cap test fail. Most emission stations have an office that you can go into and ask questions. If they can not help you then go to a shop in your area and show them the failed notice and have them look the car over. Send me a copy of the failed notice so I see what it says.
