Question 1999 V70 was losing coolant. Water pump changed however after pressure test mechanics have discovered a crack in the engine block. Can the block be successfully welded?
If not is the cost prohibitive of replacing engine and blcok? Thanks

I have not heard of any success stories about the welding of the engine block, although it may be possible. Has the shop you use done this before with success? The cost to replace the engine will be high, but is the cost worth it to you? Ask how much it will cost. You can purchase a reman engine from the dealer.
