Question
i've been told the reason my tires are losing air is due to corrosion on the aluminum wheels?  this problem only started after a recall of the valve stems on cooper tires.

Answer
Rita,
Due to the fact that there is corrosion at the point called the "Bead" two things come to mind. First remove the tire and using sand paper clean the bead area and remove all the pitting, put the tire back on and using bead sealant inflate the tire to see how it will hold up. Second would be to replace the wheels maybe with used ones in good shape.
