Question The window motor runs but the only way I get the window up is to pull it with my hands. It is free floating. How do I remove the door panel to check the window. I am afraid of the air bag exploding. 1999 Volvo S80

Answer Hello! It souds like the window regulator is broken. There is no airbag in the door. The side impact bag is in the seat. There are are plastic clips and a few screws all around the panel. All the clips are clearly visible and must be removed before the door panel comes off. Go to www.volvotechinfo.com for a manual.
