Subject: Buy s80 T6 or s80 2.5T
Question
Our 2004 Volvo S80 was just totaled in an accident, we loved the car and will be replacing it with another s80.
The two cars are are looking at are a 2005 T6 and a 2005 2.5T.
We have driven an S80 T6 and would like to buy the T6. We are were told by a salesman (selling the 2.5T) that the T6 will have many problems, like.... the transmission will go out because the engine has more power then the 4 speed trans. can handle.
My question is....... will we have 'more' transmission trouble with the T6? Will the T6 turbos give us more trouble? Should we just buy the 2.5T ?

go with 2.5t it is better on gas mileage and less problems the t6 tends to have more problem than 5 cylinder turbos never go bad on volvo so far i know and so long you change oil time you will not have problem with turbo both cars 2.5t and t6 are turbo chargeds engine only 2.5t has one turbo and t6 has twin tubro but you can but non turbo vovlo also for better fuel economy but less power
