Subject: computer replacement
Question
I have a 2002 S60 - the dash went blank, I took to dealership and they said I need to replace the computer, they would older.. In the meantime the dash has come back fine..but there is a message saying airbags need immediate service. They are still telling me I need the computer replaced. Is this true? thank you.

Marilyn, I would have to evaluate the car to answer this one. It is possible though. Roger
What is it that you wanted to hear? These cars are all computer controlled and without looking and performing tests on the car, its impossible for me to tell you whats wrong with it. Im a good technician but Im not a magician or can read crystal balls to tell you what is wrong with your car. There are text book procedures and years of schools to know these cars. If you had an older Volvo, then from what you typed there may be an educated guess on what the problem is. Im sorry that I couldnt answer your question but in my opinion, it wasnt fair to me that you thought I deserved such a crappy rating. Good luck with your car.
