Question
Hi, my V70 1st of the new shape, is coming up with erratic temp gauge readings all is fine then it drops to zero, then comes back later, also receiving coolant low message once in a while and it does need to be topped up. help

Answer
Sorry this is late. I had an unexpected surgery and will be out for a while.

Nigel, first check the coolant level and be sure you have no air pockets, then check the connector and wire integrity at both of the sensors. The coolant level sensor in the coolant reservoir and the coolant temp sensor on the motor. If all ok, be sure all software upgrades have been performed. Lastly, check for headgasket leakage.
