Experience I am a Certified Volvo Tech at in Independent Volvo Repair shop. I grew up around Volvos and decided I wanted to do it professionally. I worked at the dealer for about a year then I went to work at an Independent shop which I have been with for 10 years.
Question According to the owner's manual, the automatic circuit breaker located in position 37 powers all the windows and sun roof. However, it says it does not normally need to be replaced. None of them are working. Any thoughts? Should I try replacing the AUT/CB?
Answer Elle, Usually its the master window switch or the sunroof switch itself. But since its both, It may be the alarm siren that is the culprit. 98's dont usually fail. Car needs to be scanned to see whats going on. Personally, I would check for power at the master window switch to see whats going on. Its possible that both switches decided to quit by coincidence. Ive seen it before. Roger
