Volvo Repair - Driver side window on 1997 Volvo 850

Expert: Roger Patricio - 5/22/2009

Question
The driver side window will not roll up most of the time. I didn't have any problem during the winter but now that it is warmer weather, it is again failing to roll up, more failures than successes. What can I do to fix that? I don't know how to remove the center console to figure out what is wrong with the switch.

Thanks!

Answer
Eileen, well that is the problem.  The problem is it only comes in one whole assembly.  No separate switches for that setup.  The console does have to come out to replace the switch assembly.  You might want to let a Volvo shop handle this one.  Roger
