Question
QUESTION: I have a 1991 Volvo station wagon 740 and the antenna7 is stuck in the down position.  I believe that it just needs to be cleaned, but how do I do that.
Thank you,
Carlton

ANSWER: carlton, most likely the mast is broken.  Are you sure the inside antenna switch isnt in the down position?  Roger

QUESTION: Roger, where is the inside antenna switch?  It has always worked automatically.

The mast could be broken.  It has been stuck before, and some WD-40 got it working again.

Carlton

Answer
Carlton, Okay then.  Follow the headlight switch and move to the right.  Should be a switch with a Y on it.  The only way to clean it now is to take the top nut off and pull up the antenna a bit so you can spray and clean it.  If that doesnt work, there may be an issue with the motor assembly or the small relay on the antenna.  This will be my last post for a While.  Im going on Hiatus.  Good luck.  Roger
