Expertise
I can answer main things about the Wallflowers- lyrics, band bios, concerts, background, who Jakob`s dad is... :) stuff like that.

Experience
I have loved the Wallflowers (as my email address shows) since 1996 and I heard 'The Difference'. Since then I've gone to numerous concerts- done what any fan does- get pictures, all the cds, merchandise etc and I've even met the band twice. I could say I'm quite the Wallflowers officionato. :)

Question
A few years back, Virgin Radio in the UK played a single which I thought was from Bringing Down The Horse but having now bought the album none of them were that particular song. Can you tell me what songs have been issued in the UK as singles?

Answer
Hello Mick,

If the song wasn't from Bringing Down the Horse, but came out around the same time, I would take a pretty good guess that it was a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" from the movie Godzilla in 1998.  The song wasn't on Bringing Down the Horse but it is on the movie soundtrack and was quite popular; I think it may have been released as a single.

Depending on how long ago "a few years back" is, the song could possibly be from The Wallflower's next album, Breach, which came out in 2000.  I am not sure which songs they released as singles in the UK, but in the U.S. they were "Sleepwalker" and "Letters from the Wasteland".  Are you looking to find the particular song to buy the album? In that case, if you give me some more background on the particular song (fast, slow, ballad, any words you can remember) I can help you identify the song, but it probably was "Heroes".

Please e-mail me back if you get the soundtrack or listen to "Heroes" and it's not the song you're looking for; I can help you find the real one.
