About Kimberly Carroll
Expertise
I have been a huge fan of The Wallflowers from the very beginning. I have been known to annoy my friends because sometimes I just can`t shut up about them! I work in a record store so I am also knowledgeable about many other bands and artists, but The Wallflowers are my absolute favorite. I would love to answer any questions you have about them!

Subject: record breakers?

Question
I am working on a show for VH1 called Rock n` Roll Record Breakers and am looking for new records that we could incorporate into our show.  I was wondering if you know if The Wallflowers have broken any records during their career (best, best-selling, longest, most, etc.) Also, since you mentioned you are knowledgable on other bands, are you aware of any other rock n`roll record breakers? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Answer
Hi Kelly,

I wish I could be of more help to you with this question, but to my knowledge, the Wallflowers do not hold any records.  I have been following their career since the beginning and I have never heard of them breaking any records.  As far as any other bands with records, I know that Pearl Jam used to hold the record for selling the most albums during the week of its debut (that was for Vs.), but Garth Brooks broke that record.  I still have difficulties with that because the week Pearl Jam's sales were recorded went from the Tuesday of its release through the following Monday, and the week Garth Brooks' sales were recorded went from the Tuesday release through the following Tuesday.  (If you ask me, Pearl Jam was cheated out of a day of sales!)  Either way, Brooks' record has since been smashed by many a boy band.  I believe N'sync is the current record holder.  I apologize for not having more information to help you, but I will keep your question on my e-mail so that if I come across anything more I can relay it to you.  Who knows, maybe the Wallflowers will set some new records when their new album "Breach" is released.  (They're already number 1 to me!!!!!)

                          Sincerely,

                          Kimberly Carroll
