Walt Disney World - 3 year old boy's 1st time to WDW =need recommendations please

Question
Hi, Our family of 3 including our 3 year old son will be traveling from California the Nov. 13-22, 2008.  We have been to Disneyland with our son twice.  Any reccomendations on parks, and sites that are a must see for the interest of a 3 year old that are different than what Disneyland has to offer?  We love Disney and were at Disneyland in May 2008.

Also, just as important would be a reccomendation for a resort.  We enjoy staying at full luxury hotels with slippers and robes and big beds with fluffy pillows, etc.  We typically get a junior suite or suite to give my son his own space and ours as well.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hello Linda,

Sounds like a fun visit to Disney World!  Your 3 year old is going to have such a great time with Mickey Mouse.  You will want to book your resort right away.  There is not much availability left for these dates in November.  Many of the resorts are already sold out.  If you are lucky with resort availability, I would suggest either Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts for your family.  These are some of the nicest Disney Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World, but still fun for kids.  These resorts also have 1-Bedroom Suites to give you more room for your vacation.  The Villas at Disney's Beach Club Resort also have 1-Bedroom Villas (which are different from the 1-Bedroom Suites) that are a little more like home.  This villa is part of the Disney Vacation Club properties, so it is a little more quiet than Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Any of these Disney Resorts are a great choice for your child's age and your family vacation.

For Theme Parks, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Epcot are different from the attractions at Disneyland California.  There are many of the same attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios, but there are still a few that are different including Lights, Motors, Action, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage, etc.  You may also want to hit DisneyQuest during your visit and one of the Disney Waterparks.  These are very different experiences at Walt Disney World than Disneyland.  Walt Disney World is so much larger than Disneyland and there are so many more attractions, shows, recreation, and entertainment.  Your family will have an amazing vacation.

To help with preschooler activities, you may want to purchase the Preschoolers E-Guide to Disney World.  It is a great resource created by Disney Employees that are also moms of preschoolers. They have lots of suggestions of the best of the best at Disney World for preschoolers.  Here is a link to this guide for your review:

Enjoy planning your vacation.
