About Brian Charles Kohn
Expertise
I`m an expert on all aspects of a deluxe Walt Disney World vacation, including Disney`s four theme parks, the Disney Vacation Club, Walt Disney World`s on-site deluxe and moderate resorts, and Disney`s theme park and resort dining. I host a semi-monthly online chat about deluxe Walt Disney World vacations, and was a contributor to Rita Aero`s Disney World, The Essential Guide to Amazing Vacations. I also maintain my own web site of guidance and opinions on various aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation. I`ve stayed at nine of Disney`s resorts, and eaten at almost all of the full-service restaurants, and can give comparative information based on your personal needs and preferences. I typically reply to questions within a few hours, except overnight.

Experience
My wife and I have, together, visited Walt Disney World dozens of times. We have stayed at almost all the deluxe resorts and have eaten at almost all the deluxe restaurants.

Subject: Orlando theme parks in November 2008

Question
My wife, my son, and i are planning a vacation in Orlando either from november 5th until the 14th or december 10th until the 19th. How are the parks at these two times of the year. How packed are they? my cousin said the week before kids get out of school for x-mas vacation is the best time, the parks are empty. is this true?

Answer
Both of those weeks are relatively uncrowded, with the December dates a bit less crowded, due to the fact that that week in November is the week of the New Jersey Teachers Conference, resulting in many New Jerseyans taking that week as vacation and visiting Walt Disney World with their children.  However, it isn't that big of a difference: We'll be taking two children to Walt Disney World that week ourselves and expect to have a great time.

However, there is one other advantage to the December dates: All the Christmas decorations will be up.

Have a great time!
