AboutSue Holland Expertise I can answer just about anything relating to the Florida Disney parks - including the resorts & Downtown Disney. As a Disney Vacation Club member, I`m very familiar with that program as well. I love the resorts as much as the theme parks - especially the attention to detail and the friendly service provided

Question We are debating between going to disney either nov 16-nov 22 or nov 30-dec 6. I guess I would like to go nov 16th, but not sure if this is still a busy time to go? I know thanksgiving is really busy, so trying to go the week before or after. Also, cannot decide between the beach club resort and the grand floridian. we have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 11 month old. I like all the beach club has to offer with the boardwalk inn across the way and walking distance to epcot and hollywood studios and the pools that sound great. But I like that the grand floridian is so close to magic kingdom (probably where we will be the most) and it's on the monorail and has larger rooms. Have u been to either of these hotels? I don't know why this has been so hard :) I guess when your driving 10 hours for a vacation that's costing thousands you want it to be perfect. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Hi Kristina,
Both of those weeks are relatively uncrowded, but the Nov 16th will be the least busy because it's sort of in between big events. Food & Wine Festival will have just ended, along with Super Soap Weekend. The holiday stuff all begins by the Friday after Thanksgiving, so the Nov 30th week will have slightly bigger crowds but it'll still be very nice. If you're interested at all in the holiday stuff, I'd pick 11/30 - otherwise, I'd go with 11/16. You really can't go wrong with either.
Between Beach Club and Grand Floridian - for my trips I prefer Beach Club just based on location alone! It also has the best pool area of any resort on property. The Grand Floridian is lovely, and has the monorail access to Magic Kingdom, but keep in mind you'll probably be staying in a building other than the main one. That said, if you honestly expect to spend most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then the Grand would be the best pick for this trip. Perhaps another year when you're focusing more on ALL of the parks you can try the Beach Club. If the rooms at Grand Floridian are larger than the rooms at the Beach Club, it's not by much - I doubt it would be really noticeable.
Hope this helps - you've really picked 2 great weeks and 2 terrific resorts. I think you'll be happy with whatever combination you end up booking.
