Question
Hi! I will be going to florida in two weeks  (Oct 8) for the very first time with my girlfriend and we are planning to go to 3 parks: walt disney world, animal kingdom and universal studios.  I just have a few questions:

Is it best to go to the park early when it just opens?  We also want to see the fireworks at night but afraid that if we go there too late, it will be packed (we were planning to go on a friday)

Also, do you have any suggestions on the "must see" attractions for walt disney world, animal kingdom and such?  We want to make sure we see as much as we can!

Thank in advance!

Answer
Mark,

You say you are planning on going on a Friday, are you planning on trying to do all the parks on Friday? If so I don't really think you will get to see much at any of the parks. As far as crowds or any other questions I can only answer questions about Disney World parks I do not have experience with Universal Parks. For Disney parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, crowds should not be a major issue at that time of year. If you do not prefer to get there at park opening I don't think it will interfere with you being able to ride or watch fireworks. Animal Kingdom does not have fireworks, however Magic Kingdom and Epcot do and Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic night time show that incorporates some fireworks into the show. Our must see attractions at the parks are at Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain, at Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Safari, Festival of the Lion King, Tough to Be a Bug, those are just a few. Just a small bit of info, keep in mind the the parks all offer many attractions and you will not get to see everything, even if you spent 1 entire day in each park, there is just so much to do. If you are staying on Disney property I could help you with dining suggestions and other info. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know. Have a magical 1st trip!!! Oh, speaking of first trips, at Magic Kingdom if you go to City Hall you can ask for a first trip button.
