Walt Disney World - Dining questions

Expert: Ron Murdza - 10/10/2009

Question
Hi Ron.  You have answered several questions for me before. We are a week away from our Wedding/Honeymoon at the Grand Floridian.  Here are some of the places that we have chosen to eat during our ten days:  Victoria and Alberts, Narcoosees, San Angel Inn, Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package, California Grill, and Crystal Palace (got to see Pooh)...what I was wondering is first, can you comment on our choices in case we want to make any last minute changes?  Also, we want to use one of our free days to explore areas other than the parks so that we can go back next year and stay somewhere different.  With going to Cirque one night in Downtown Disney, I feel like we will get to see that area.  Of the remaining three places that we are interested in, which do you recommend spending some time at:  Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, or the Boardwalk area.  I thought of going to one of the resorts and having lunch.  Do you have any recommendations?  Also, do you know anything about the Big River Brewing and Grille at the Boardwalk?  Thanks

Answer
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT CHOICES !!!!

If I would make one more recommendation for dining it would be Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge.  The WL is our favorite resort and I always recommend people to at least visit it once just to take in the beautiful lobby which is breath taking! The Artist Point there is also a great place to eat - they specialize in their Salmon (served on a cedar plank) and the buffalo steak.  I would highly recommend at the minimum to take in a day just wondering around - check out the Lodge and maybe have dinner there and then go to the Boardwalk to walk around and have some desert at beaches and cream at the Yacht and beach club.  I always like going to the Boardwalk because it is themed after Atlantic City and we live in NJ.

Sorry but I dont have any experience at the Big River Brewing or Grille.
