Walt Disney World - Parking at DW Resorts

Expert: Ron Murdza - 10/8/2009

Question
We are visiting in early January and staying at the Contemporary.  We will have a rental car with us.  Can we use the parking areas at the other resorts?  In other words, could we drive to the Yacht Club/Beach Club to have dinner wander around, and then walk into Epcot for Illuminations after dinner without getting our car towed :-).  Heck, we could end up being there 4 or 5 hours with an early dinner.  Are they picky about this? Charge by the hour? Check a list to make sure I really have dinner reservations, etc. How about going over there for lunch and then spending all day in Epcot ... with car parked at Yacht/Beach.

Thanks ...

Answer
I really cannot give you a definite answer on this as I have never utilized a car at WDW but instead relied entirely on their transportation.  I can tell you though that the Transportation system there is great and a lot of fun and I would highly recommend using it and just leave the car parked in your resort where you are staying.

If you really do want to use the car I have heard that you can inform them you have a priority seating for dining at the specific resort and they let you in but I cannot be 100% sure
