Question Hi,
Planning to be at WDW in December and leave before Christma, will be travelling with my 9 year old daughter and was hoping you can recommend very comfortable footwear for her.
Thanx in advance for your time.
Answer Hi Paul,
Are your kids active running around & playing outside at home? If so, the same shoes they wear there should be best for WDW. The worst thing you could do is buy a new pair of shoes, put them in a suitcase and have your daughter wear them for the 1st time at WDW! Shoes need to be proven comfortable and broken in for your daughter's specific feet.
You'll see a lot of kids wearing crocs, and the rest mostly sneakers. But, your daughter should wear whatever is comfortable on her. Avoid anything with a hard sole. Some sandals for example have no cushiony feel at all. Those will be uncomfortable for long hours walking on hard pavement.
I see people talking on message boards about the "best" footware for WDW and for every shoe that someone says is THE best, someone else says it's absolutely terrible. So, it's impossible to recommend a specific shoe and be sure it'll really be good for that person.
Have a great trip.
Sue
