Expert: Richard Soong Date: 5/28/2008 Subject: inventory look up
Question I exported into excel inventory data from 2 different locations (on 2 different excel sheets). I would like to combine them to show the differance in quantities each one has (recognizing the item numbers) but i cant seem to figure it out. I tried doing a vlookup but it is not working. Do you have any sugestions?
Answer vlookup is a good formula for linking the figures, probably you might have mixed up the formula and cause a broken link from the two excel sheets.
I cant provide you a good solution till I have seen the whole thing but will suggest another alternative using Access if you have the software, it is much more a powerful database tool.
