Warehousing - Warehouse Measurents

Question
Dear Larry,
Iam to store Grain.
Stewart.

Answer
Stewart

That helps but I have to assume that the grain is bagged or otherwise in some type of container, I am not familiar with bulk storage, primarily product that is on pallets or some other means of stacking.

Generally I would determine how much product can be placed upon a pallet and how many pallets high the product can be stacked. I would then design a storage layout that would accommodate the amount of product I want to store, allowing for access aisles, etc. The measurement of that area would then determine the amount of space required.

I hope this helps,
Larry
