Question What the different between Field Warehouse, Public Warehouse, Bonded Warehouse, and 3rd Party Warehouse?
Answer A field warehouse is usually a company run facility for it's own products that is at a remote location from the company's home office.
A Public Warehouse and a 3rd Party Warehouse are both warehouses run by a company that specialized in the storage and distribution of products for others. They do not own the goods but act as agents for the owners.
A bonded warehouse has a special permit or license for the US government to store goods that have not had their customs duties paid. These duties are paid upon shipment from the facility. Bonded warehouses can be either field warehouses or public warehouses.
