Question Dear Donald,
I, like Nina, have the smell of mothbballs coming into MY BEDROMMS from mothballs thown outside my home-(my home is built on a slab).The smell is unbearable to me, all though my husband is able to sleep in the bedroom. I am afraid if I water them down, that the smell will be in the soil and last even longer. I had a sore throught the next day and now have a sinus infection, which is very hard on me as I am about to have complete kidney failure.
Any help would be appreciated.

Answer I'm afraid I don't have any real exciting news for you. I have been presented with this same issue in slightly different scenarios at least 6 times duiring the last month.
The only thing I know for you or someone else to do is to find and collect as many of the moth balls as possible. A good hot fire will help destroy these critters. I wish I knew of a better way to eliminate your problem. God Bless.
