Answer
Hi jac

Aluminum from pots, with any steel or plastic removed, is currently about .45 US dollars per pound. Very recyclable, as is just about all aluminum.

Newspaper -- yes, typically $5 - $20 per ton.

White office paper - yes, currently .03 US dollars/pound. This refers to the type of paper that comes out of a photocopier. Other types are not included.

CDs, cassette tapes - I have never seen these recycled

Computers are related electronics are a particular grade of scrap and the price varies. The highest value item are the circuit boards with gold "fingers" For a picture go to http://images.openphoto.net/cgi-bin/image?image_id=6264&filters=&rotate=°rees...

Cardboard boxes and corrugates cardbaorrd are very recycleable. Prices vary.  Corrugated cardboard picture: http://waddell.ci.manchester.ct.us/garden_images/h_corrugated.jpg Cardboard/boxboard picture: http://www.eurekarecycling.org/tools/Telescope_Unique_Problems/Coconut_Boxboard.... Usually these two types are mixed together

glass - yes. Bottle glass comes in three colors, amber, flint and green, and is worth more if you keep them separate. Plate glass is worth less. Low value.

Dry cell batteries - Yes, but you have to pay. See http://www.batteryrecycling.com/drycellbatrec.html

All machinery is recycleable for scrap. Visit a scrap metal recycling yard to see.

Pens -- I have no knowledge of this

Nick
