Yes, in the early 1930's Wayne road a horse called Duke in the 1932/33 westerns "Ride Him Cowboy", "The Big Stampede", "Hunted Gold", "The Telegraph Trail", "Somewhere In Sonora" and "The Man From Monterey". The horse was sometimes billed as "Duke The Miracle Horse".
