Question Thanks in advance...hope you can help with this: Sometimes instead of seeing a picture I get a white box with a red x in it. Even if I right click it and click on 'show picture' I keep getting just the red x. Help?
Answer Hello N.P.,
If you are surfing Web pages on the Internet and see a white box with a red x in it, it normally means:
1. the person did not upload that image to his/her server
2. the link to that image is coded wrong or messed up
You would need to email the Webmaster and tell him or her about this error.
It could also mean that the Interent or the individual Internet Service Provider is having some problems at this time. You might try to refresh the page and see if the image shows up. If the page has a large amont of graphics or clip art you might wait until the entire page loads to see if the image will show up.
If you are not surfing Web pages when you see the white box instead of an image, please let me know where you are attempting to see the image, what program are you using, what computer systerm you are using, etc.
