Web Hosting Advice - Quick Question

Expert: Marty Landman - 6/8/2009

Question
Hello,
I am going through some older books of mine and I came across: "Just Java 2 4th ed Co. 1999" "WebMaster in a Nutshell-2nd ed Co. 1999" "Web Publishing W/HTML 4 copyright 2000" I was curious here in 2009 what signifciance do they have? Can I still learn from them? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks-Skyler

Answer
Skyler,

I would go to the library or search online for more recent titles. A whole lot has changed in the last decade and the effort you spend reading these may be better used to study more current information such as CSS, XHTML and XML. OTOH the basic principles are the same so I'm sure there is still good useful information in these old books.
