Web Hosting Advice - Re: How to embed webcam into a webpage?

Question
I've been doing some online research recently/lately on something I use to have hooked up with Yahoo Geocities (Yahoo Messenger) - (but not anymore), and that is: have my webcam stream live on my own long time website; Yahoo Webhosting hosts my website, and I use Yahoo Sitebuilder to edit my website (if need be), already (long time) got my own domain name, but what I've been trying to figure out is that, I don't want to have to do anything after hooking up a setup, and I don't want to have to deal with a 3rd party hosting my webcam (ie: http://www.anywebcam.com), Anywebcam, I explained to - this, and of course they play dumb. But I'm left thinking, what, I need my own home server? Sigh . . . I thought all I needed to do was insert a html code via/per Yahoo Sitebuilder, save and publish unto Yahoo's server's and it would be in real time, live and always streaming, 24/7, without any needed program, 3rd party website hoster (just cut through all that). Any suggestion's?

Answer
Hi Jeffrey,

I'm not really an expert in this field but here are a couple of articles you might want to review:

http://webdesign.about.com/cs/multimedia/a/aawebcams.htm

http://www.webmaster-talk.com/website-design-forum/16407-setting-up-a-streaming-... (this guys recommends http://www.wheresjames.com/index.php?page=wjwp2)

This should at least help.
