I'm trying to find out how to legitimately determine value for domain addresses and how to sell those. Many of the companies I found online do not appear to be legit and if I sell any of my domains I want to make sure it's done correctly and I will get paid without a doubt.

The problem with appraising domain names however is that the value of the domain is entirely subjective and really depends on how many characters in it, how easy it is to remember, and how likely it is that someone else would want it. Sometimes people purchase domain names with the intent of holding onto them until an interested party contacted them to buy them - frequently most people simply choose to purchase an alternative domain name.
