Question I have designed my Web site in dreamweaver, now I'm wanting to publish it on
1and1.com because that's where I have my server registered. I've established the
FTP connection and in Dreamweaver it says the server is connected, however the
Web site is not working. Any ideas? I heard bad things about Dreamweaver used
on 1and1.com.
Answer It's possible that there is some kind of issue such as firewall settings or the like where there is an incompatibility between Dreamweaver and 1and1.com. Or it may be that 1and1 requires an SFTP (secure ftp) connection and you've configured Dreamweaver to do an FTP (non-secure) connection.
I suggest you review 1and1's FAQ and check if they have a user's forum where you may get help with this. Also if those don't help then try contacting customer support.
