Web Hosting Advice/Video Streaming

Question
Hillary:
I have a video clip which I would like to include into a web page. It is about 7 minutes long.
I would like to create a file with an asf extension to enable viewers to use Microsoft Media Player.
I would also like to implement it using streaming.
I understand that Microsoft has a facility called Media Services which facilitates that process.
Is this the best way to go for one website with a single video.
How much does it cost.
Thanks
Nick M.

Answer
HI There

When we do videos, we set it up in quicktime so most can view the show. Safe way to go.

Note: You have to keep in mine the load time and quality -  Which is pretty poor today, even when using cable. A 7 minute video will be quite large in size, hence, few will see it, and those who do - will be quite blurrylike.

Now I dont know anything about asf extensions, so try online and see what microsofts Media services are all about

Good luck and I am sorry I can not be of better help.

Hilary
