Question
Hi there, how do I upload Mammbo CMS files to be hosted by a webhosting site? Many sites claim to host Mambo but they pretty much leave me in complete darkness; so, is there a site that offers tutorial or providing Mambo hosting facility? Thank you.

Answer
Patrick,

If you do the installation yourself then you would need to visit the Mambo project site at

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mambo/

and download the CMS yourself, upload to your site and follow the installation instructions.

Many hosting plans - including my own - will do this for you automatically. We offer CPanel with Fantastico which will do automated installs of a wide variety of open source products, including Mambo which is currently being installed at version 4.6.1.

You can see a list of my hosting plans at

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mambo/

and contact me privately from my contact form at

http://face2interface.com/Contact/Email_Us.shtml

if interested.

If you'd like to learn to do the installation manually let me know and I'll do what I can to help you through any problems that may come up.

First thing though is I'd check with your hosting provider whether they support Fantastico or any other way to automatically install Mambo on your account.

Hope this is helpful.
