Question
TV works fine without the Webtv connected.  Have tried the power down and power up with more than a 15 minute wait time.

Question -
My mother has been using webtv for about 4 years.  Recently it quit working.  She thought it was due to an e-mail she got warning her to upgrade her system because the shut down came a few days later.  I have contacted webtv's support organization and they assure me the e-mail was spam and that her account is still open and functioning.

With this info, I suggested she power down the system by pulling the plug, waiting at least 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in.  When she did this, all she got was "wavy lines" on the TV screen.  She unplugged and tried again several hours later with the same results.  Any suggestions?
