I am interested in web tv for the ease of the large screen and comfort when on the internet. I don't believe I understand exactly how it works. I read about it's slowness compared to my PC. I also see the different cost/companies available. My internet connection is with Bell South DSL. How do I purchase something to work with the tv(cable) and my DSL line. I know I don't want a slow connection and it to cost a fortune, I want it mainly for the large screen(I wear glasses and want to see it easily).
Can you help me with any of these issues? Thanks for your help.

anything you can do on a pc,,,i can do on my web...except i dont have to worry about viruses...webtv doesnt have a hard drive...if all you do is email..then the webtv is defintedly for you...if you make web pages...then it works just fine...i have over 100 pages ive made with the web...it costs between 19.95 and 24.95 per month...and you can put it on a credit card...it is automatically deducted every month...all you do is just plug into your phone line..and your ready to go...very easy and simple..youll be up and running in about 5 minutes..it isnt as fast as a pc,,,but its not slow..im a very impatient person..and it suits me just fine...you can buy units anywhere..circuit city, best buys,,,target,,walmart..etc..it comes with a unit and a remote and a keyboard...all you need...if you need anything else..just give me a hollar...emma3@webtv.net
Answer webtv is perfect for you...you can go to any web site on the internet...look up stuff...google..webtv even has their own search engine...i'd say its perfect..and soooo easy...plus if your on 5 hours a month or 5000...its still the same price...
